Michael Jordan is a retired American professional basketball player and businessman, universally regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time by many fans and analysts. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1963, Jordan played 15 seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Chicago Bulls. He led the Bulls to six NBA Championships in the 1990s, going a perfect 6-0 in Finals appearances and winning Finals MVP every time. Jordan won 5 regular season MVP awards, 10 scoring titles, and the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1988, showcasing his dominance on both ends of the court. His competitiveness, clutch performances, and iconic moments (including the last shot against Utah in 1998) have become legendary. Off the court, Jordan's partnership with Nike created the Air Jordan brand, which revolutionized athlete endorsements and became a multi-billion dollar business. Jordan later became the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets before selling his stake in 2023.
