AMD lists 56 compute units and a 256-bit memory interface on the RX 9070, against 32 compute units and 128-bit on the RX 9060 XT. Launch prices were $549 and $349 (16GB). Street prices change, so the gap you pay today may be smaller or larger."},{"question":"What were the launch prices of the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070?","answer":"AMD's May 20, 2025 press release gives the RX 9060 XT 16GB a $349 suggested price and the 8GB model $299. AMD's February 28, 2025 release gives the RX 9070 $549 and the RX 9070 XT $599. These are launch prices, not today's store prices."},{"question":"Do the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 have the same VRAM?","answer":"The RX 9060 XT 16GB and the RX 9070 both have 16 GB of GDDR6 at up to 20 Gbps. The RX 9070 uses a 256-bit interface with 64 MB of Infinity Cache and up to 640 GB/s of bandwidth. The RX 9060 XT uses 128-bit with 32 MB and up to 320 GB/s."},{"question":"Should I buy the 8GB or 16GB RX 9060 XT?","answer":"For a comparison with the 16 GB RX 9070, the 16GB RX 9060 XT is the like-for-like model. AMD launched the 8GB version at $299 and the 16GB version at $349."},{"question":"What power supply do I need for the RX 9060 XT or RX 9070?","answer":"AMD rates the RX 9060 XT at 160 W typical board power with a 450 W minimum power supply and one 8-pin connector. It rates the RX 9070 at 220 W with a 650 W minimum power supply and two 8-pin connectors. Partner cards can differ."},{"question":"Should I consider the RX 9070 XT instead?","answer":"AMD launched the RX 9070 XT at $599, $50 more than the RX 9070, with 64 compute units and 304 W typical board power against 56 compute units and 220 W. If the live price gap is small and your power supply can handle it, it is worth comparing."}],"faqPageSchema":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"FAQPage","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070#faq","url":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070","inLanguage":"en-US","name":"RX 9060 XT vs RX 9070: Which AMD GPU to Buy — FAQ","description":"Frequently asked questions about RX 9060 XT vs RX 9070: Which AMD GPU to Buy","dateModified":"2026-10-13T00:00:00.000Z","author":{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/#organization","name":"A Versus B"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/#organization","name":"A Versus B"},"isPartOf":{"@type":"Article","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070#article"},"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","speakable":{"@type":"SpeakableSpecification","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070#faq-speakable","cssSelector":[".faq-answer"]},"mainEntity":[{"@type":"Question","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070#q1","name":"Is the RX 9070 worth it over the RX 9060 XT?","answerCount":1,"acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","@id":"https://www.aversusb.net/compare/rx-9060-xt-vs-rx-9070#a1","text":"It is worth it if you want the larger GPU and can pay the difference.
